LIVE gathering
Weeping Circle
A live, bi-weekly gathering, focused this month on: pet loss
Many cultures have a name, ritual, or container for the grief that needs to come out of the body, rather than be managed inside: Weep. Wail. Keen. Sob. Mourn. These words exist because the need exists. But most of us don't have anywhere to do this. Weeping Circle is a live, bi-weekly gathering on Zoom where you can show up exactly as you are. Each month has a theme. You might come once, or a few times, or it might just become your new ritual.

p.s. we’re nerds & we love this stuff
Did you know that crying has real, physiological benefits?
“When we hear someone crying, our brain activates mirror neurons, which makes us feel their emotions as if we were the ones crying. The sound of crying specifically triggers areas of the brain related to empathy, making our response more immediate and intense. We are naturally wired to hear and respond to cries.”

Our Teaching / Learning / Creating Style at La Mort
We leave behind the polished, gate-keepy approach to education. We teach in ways that carry story and experience. We listen. We laugh (a lot). We go off-script sometimes. We cry (with you)(for those you’ve loved)(for those we’ve loved). We like science and studies and logical frameworks, but also mysticism and poetry and all that stuff. We really love to honor history and those who came before. We move through some serious curricula, but don’t take anything too seriously. We dedicate ourselves to seeing you, and want you to feel seen. We deeply honor our intuition and yours. We lead with integrity (always). And we welcome the odd-balls and misfits, because it takes one to know one.
